Wood Rocker w/Arms

Chairs are carved from American Black Walnut (Juglans Nigra).

Rockers are multi-ply bentwood laminations. The legs are two ply face laminations. Seats are edge joined of three or four pieces. Legs are joined to the seat with a cross lap joint, glue and wood screws.

Rockers are attached to the legs with glue and screws, butt joint. Arms, if used, are glued and screwed, butt joints. Backs are butt joined, and glued and screwed.The finishes are shellac, of various shades, and wax.
